We are a branch group of the international
organization called "The Society for
Creative Anachronism" (SCA). We enjoy
researching and re-creating the medieval
time period from 600 ce to 1600 ce. Our
Barony is located in Chico, California, USA.

Ever had a desire to be a King or Queen of misrule?
Want to see the lighter side of the SCA?
Well the Barony of Rivenoak has a Tournament for you! Come join us
for our annual Fool's Tournament on:

April 12th from 10am to 5pm
at the
Cedar Grove Meadow recreation area in Chico, CA!

Come watch our heroic fighters battle in unfamiliar situations,
with unfamiliar arms, odd and interesting demands from the gallery,
and maybe even some chicken clucking.

Bring your heavy and/or rapier armor and have fun with us!
Please bring something to share for a potluck lunch if you are so inclined.
In addition to the adventurous and humorous fighting we will have
games and silliness for all ages.

DIRECTIONS: Take your best route to hwy 99 in Chico, CA.
Take the hwy 32/East 8th street exit off of 99 and turn east
(right off of the offramp from the south).

Go straight through the first stoplight, and immedieately turn left
onto Fir/ E 8th St.

Continue on E 8th St for about a mile. Just past Kern St
(which will be on the right) you will see signs
for Cedar Grove Parking on the left hand side of the road.
